Concert: 7pm

Kevin, originally from Brest, has been singing since a young age and started playing the harp at 7. Surrounded by traditional music from Western Europe and Breton culture within his family, he began his instrumental journey with harpists Nathalie Hoffmann and Nolwenn Philippe. Working as a nurse, he attended several harp workshops and met members of the Collectif Arp. In 2016, he left his job to join the Brest Conservatory, where he refined his harp skills with Nikolaz Cadoret and explored Francophone folk singing with Marc Clérivet, two key encounters in his artistic development. He continued his studies in traditional music at the Pôle d’Enseignement Supérieur du Spectacle Vivant in Rennes, where he earned his DNSPM in 2021 and his DE in 2022.

Today, Kevin is a singer-songwriter and accomplished trad-contemporary artist based in Rennes and is a member of the Collectif Arp. He performs in various formats, including his harp duo “Bisiad” (trad-contemporary music and pop compositions) and the fest-noz trio “La Mézanj”. His project, “Les Irlandais de Bretagne”, explores Irish immigration to Brittany in the 17th and 18th centuries.

In his solo work, Kevin focuses on arrangements, composition, and songwriting. His passion for living traditional music is expressed through a modern and dynamic harp playing style. His music, influenced by various genres, reflects his strong connection to the Breton repertoire. His clear, powerful voice, singing in French, English, and sometimes Gallo, whether a cappella or accompanied, defines his artistic identity. In May 2023, he released his first album, *À distance*. He performs throughout Brittany, France, and occasionally abroad (Switzerland, Germany, Spain, England, Italy, Scotland, USA).

In August 2019, Kevin won the first prize and the public prize at the “Trophée Camac” solo competition at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. In April 2024, he won the first prize and the public prize at the World Harp Competition in Utrecht, Netherlands. He gained recognition for his performances at the Jeudis de la Harpe and the 50th-anniversary festival organized by Camac Harps.
